Brown First let me say that I am not traditionally a fan of HP products. But I see these all in some nicer features than some others and took a chance. I know that generally do well with HP hardware products or design, but struggle to integrate their software with their products. I think this is the case here. I got my 3210 for about 2 weeks and here are my experiences. Pros: i) Scanning resolution and the quality is pretty good. ii) The print quality is good. I was not going to a lot of pressure, but based on experience, I will probably be more than expected because of the good results. iii) scanning and printing are both quite fast. Marketed as the fastest photo all-in-one on the market ... can not compare with others, but I suspect they are correct. iv) I was happy to find in my research that the ink cartridges are not very expensive, and they are easy to replace, and whether they are running low Less: i) the magazine paper is small, so it's not too much - a little. ii) the installation of the software was more pain than I had expected. Installation on WinXP SP1 was generally well under WinXP SP2, but it was a struggle. Not the fault of HP, of course, but they were not able to simplify the installation, in order to avoid some of this isssue or frustrations. I hope they have sold a lot of technical support available to people how this product. iii) The network configuration was not as automated or as simple as it might have been. the software interface iv) is not as easy and smooth as it could be. I think those who buy this product that are not comfortable with computers, often over something on the phone with HP. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase so far, but still some configuration work. In defense of HP, I called and emailed their tech support - but should not have my schedule and makes it resistant Again, I feel that the hardware implementation is pretty good, but installation of software and interface is inadequate. 98 of 103 people found this review helpful. Excellent product getting a bad reputation for M. Zeissler After reading all the comments here, and in good faith, I bought a 3210 - because it had exactly the features I was looking at a multi-functional device. My experience was light years from what others have left on this site. Note that you carefully read the instructions and gave himself to reflect on the process before you connect the printer to my network. In addition, my system is clean and well maintained, ie, I have no spyware, adware or viruses, and run scans every week to keep it that way. Your mileage may vary. Software installation - no problems. A 1.1 GB which is a great setup, but I had no problems with it. The installer correctly detected my firewall and I had to disable it after I posted my network from the Internet after the required reboot, it finished installing without hiccups. I also made sure to click on "HP Software Update" in the HP Solution Center before doing anything else, I installed the remaining updates and restarted. Again, no problems at all after making sure the software load was completely fresh. Network configuration - no problem. I have a custom configuration for my network, I configured the IP address manually in 3210 and added the printer to my router and firewall * before installing the software. During the installation process, the installer saw the printer to the correct IP address I had given and moved forward without any incident. Collection of paper and paper warnings - no problem. I use the GP Advantage Premium Ink Jet Paper from Costco and am having no problem whatsoever. Same thing with Kodak photo paper from Costco Wholesale.
