UPS delivered my device, no problem, and one day before the expected Amazon. Unbox and installation went smoothly and almost without incident on both my MacBook Pro and my wife's Dell Inspiron E1705 (** ** although it ran very slowly on the Dell). Initially, the PC Configuration Wizard not find the printer. I found the MAC address of the C7180 printer and had to manually find. True to form, the printer setup on the Mac was quick and easy. I was initially worried that wirelessly print to the C7180 would be slow, laborious and error prone. Not so. Both the Dell and the Mac, I noticed a small difference between USB and 802.11g wireless printing. The first in the printing of 4x6 HP Advanced photo paper were a bit off, Mac and PC. Black and white was impeccable, although the drying time is more than I'm used to my old HP Photosmart 7520 looks as if the nozzles needed some cleaning (not uncommon with a new photo printer) and cleaning a single cycle of matter solid color printing. Normal plain fast printing in Word and Excel (Mac and PC) was very sharp. Not quite laser quality, but very readable at 5 points. When printing from iPhoto on paper 4x6, I need to use the advanced printing options to select the tray, otherwise the photo prints on plain paper. Perhaps it can be considered an "advanced" settings, but it's not something I had to do with age Photosmart 7520th I have not done much exploring, but I'm happy with what I've done so far (no slides). For some reason, never ** Scanning Light Bar is off ** and I intend to call HP about it tomorrow. The last thing we need is the Light Bar burning. In addition, the 3.5 "screen is always on. Could be a function of being in a wireless network - is the screen you information about the wireless signal strength and whether you should receive messages or photos on HP's photo-sharing services Up Now I'm divided impressed. I like the ability to print wirelessly from ... Now that I want to be. I'm sure my mother-in-law will love that feature photo-sharing over the Internet. I get a single star for the bar light and a color screen stays for hours at a time. edit - Duh. An option in the printer configuration allows you to turn off the lamp if the scanner is not used for one hour. Still no solution for the printer screen with backlight. 46 of 47 customers found this review helpful. Excellent quality and great features of J. Smith, I bought this printer to replace an HP PSC 2100th 4, 6, automated photo tray is large, without taking the idea of writing paper and properly aligned on the photo paper. The printer is 802.1 11g, I have the printer connected to my PC with the USB cable, and configured my laptop with wireless connection and it works great photos and documents I printed out my laptop and the quality was excellent. The C7180 is also ready for Bluetooth, I combined with my cell phone pictures, prints, and I did with him. I tested negative treatment in the printer. It takes about a minute to connect the printer and most of the film in the manual feed tray. It took about 5 minutes from the printer to scan and process the five paintings that were in the negative. I had a friend come with a memory card, put the card into the printer's card reader, view, edit and print photos without even connecting my computer. That includes the Photosmart software is good, is not easy to use and has many features, but if you're doing basic editing, then it's OK. I have not tried the fax, since I already had a fax machine price may seem a bit "steep, but with all the features.
